I don't usually write comments but this game made me do it. This game has so much potential. The writing is excellent, the plot is good af. I wasn't expecting those twists and it's only the beginning! I love the characters. They all seem very believable and lovely. The music is good as well. I can't wait for more
So far (v0.4) the game is awesome! The story is great - the Justin's secret and that what fallows it (I don't want to spoil anything here :) ) and all other parts of it. Ethan, Theo and Eyal are hot and Justin is cute. The "cliffhanger" is really exciting and makes my to look forward to see what will happen next :)
This visual novel is one of the VNs that are closest to reality (*wink wink). The characters are very believable and are very engaging. The Story branches are not hard to discover and are very exciting and interesting aswell as you uncover their stories. I'm super looking forward for the development of this VN, please don't rush the story and take your time @BlaykeStr8, you are doing so good! Cheers to your success, and Happy New Year!
This game is awesome! The characters are very believable, and the slowly-unfolding story really draws you in. The different routes are interesting and gives you the change to discover things about each character. Can't wait for the next update to see what you have planned.

Just wanted to point out that the Itch.io app (PC) can't notify anyone about updates if you host the file on MediaFire due to a lack of compatibility. Not sure what other sites (if any) would be compatible, but regardless it would be ideal from our end if you could allow us to download updates directly from here instead of being redirected to another website.
I'll take a look into this. I use Mediafire to help track analytics so if I use an alternative for Itch it'll need the same functionality. I'm open to suggestions if anyone has any :D
I just want to say how impressed i am with the story line, characters, and overall design its actually such a great story. i could see most of the characters be real people in real life without the big secrets!

Now that I've discovered you were Aaryn's co-writer I wanted to share with you what I told him. I worked as an editor for a science fiction magazine for three and a half years. An editor's main job is buying the stories for the magazine. Straight!? had the one quality that always guarenteed I would buy a story from someone, even if it was their first try at selling their work. Characters that I cared about! I don't care how well (or poorly) written a story is, but if I get invested into the characters to the point where I really need to know what happens to them -- that's a top notch story. It help a lot that Zack reminded me so much of myself. I'm enjoying what you've done with New Hope and look forward to seeing more.
PS with a couple of hints, I had Theo figured out well in advanced. But Eyal -- ooo, there's so many questions about him. I have suspicions; several in fact. But he's hard to read! The lunch conversation about the camping suddenly got me wondering about Ethan. Apparently he doesn't remember so . . .

Editor comments (sorry, old habits die hard). In the history class and in one other spot, Mrs. was repeatedly written as Mrs.s Not sure what happened there but hopefully that's an easy typo to correct. When Justin is practicing outdoors, he sometimes refers to the ground as the floor. Stick with floor indoors and ground outdoors for consistency.

I just started playing this. Haven't gotten very far yet. I had to stop when I seen the scene from Straight? because I almost started crying lol. I'm sure I'll love this too.
Really like the premise, which seems to be, "What if the Captain Planet boys were gay?" I hope no one gets saddled with the power of heart though... that one always seemed a little lame to me. :)
I'm going to keep it short here because I think those waiting for the public release are still doing playthroughs and I want to avoid any spoilers (unless you are okay with that ;-) , but thank you again for your continued work revamping and mapping out the story for New Hope :). The redesign for the 4k remaster definitely made the environments feel more natural.
It's hard not to get too attached to these characters given how the arcs are starting to play out...and I'm starting to see some subtle differences in the different routes so it will be interesting to see where you take Justin and this story :).
excellent question, but that's something you'll have to take up with your internet service provider...usually they offer different maximum bandwiths/download speeds based on what you pay for your internet service.

Hey, without the error code I can only assume it's the same issue other people have had. When you download a new update you cannot load old saves. Due to the episodic nature of releases - loading an old save will crash the game and cause you to miss content. Please start a new game, and use the skip button to jump ahead.
If you're stuck at a certain point, make sure you start a new game. Old saves files from previous updates will crash the game due to the episodic nature of releases.
Hey, not entirely sure what you mean by the additional windows version, but I’ll take my best guess and assume you’re referring to the v0.2 and v0.2.1 links :)
V0.2 was the early release for Patreons, and V0.2.1 was the public release that had corrected bugs and typos that Patreons found whilst playing.
The next update that features new content is V0.3 - which will be released very soon. It’s currently been sent to play testers who are reviewing the content, and will feedback any issues they run into :)
